Second Stay at a Beautiful Location
5/5 Star Upfront Reviews - September 2023
This is our second stay at the cottage but for a wee bit longer as we enjoyed it so much the first time. The setting is gorgeous with only a minutes walk to the lovely shore of Loch Fyne. There is so much to do in the area & the cottage provides a perfect location to explore at a very reasonable price. Comfortable, clean with suitable facilities with a country cottage feel. As always Val is on hand with advice if required & generous offers.
As always we are looking forward to making another return visit next year.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location

5/5 Star Upfront Reviews - June 2023

We had a fabulous few days at Springburn Cottage, which has all the facilities anyone would need and is very quiet and peaceful. Mrs Neville is extremely welcoming and friendly. The location is stunning, on the banks of Loch Fyne. There is a general store at the Post Office, within a few minutes drive. Just beware of the midges and take plenty of insect repellent and bite cream!! Citronella candles are a must when sitting outside in the evenings!!

AirBnB Review - August 2022
We had a wonderful stay - the house is very nice and lovingly decorated, everything you need is available. The view through the kitchen window into the garden is more beautiful than some pictures. You can do a lot in the area, it is Argyll and Scotland as you love them. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay!

"Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt bei Val - das Haus ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet, alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Der Blick durch das Küchenfenster in den Garten ist schöner als manches Bild. Man kann sehr viel in der Umgebung unternehmen, es ist Argyll und Schottland, wie man sie liebt. Vielen vielen Dank für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt!"

The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the area. It suited all our needs. The steep stairs may be a challenge for elderly people, but it is in an ideal location for relaxation. The host was very friendly and helpful with lots of useful local knowledge.

Gorgeous place

Sept 2021
Lovely little cottage. I marked it down on comfort simply cause my 6 foot + husband was to tall for the beds. Place would benefit from a welcome folder including things like local supermarkets and petrol stations (just a suggestion) but honestly, we couldn’t be made more welcome.

A perfect location for exploring the area

We had a lovely stay in this peaceful, cosy cottage. Val the owner was very welcoming and helpful with local knowledge.

Fantastic location for discovering Argyll and Bute

Aug 2021
Cottage was situated just at the outskirts of Strachur which was perfect as Loch Fyne was just the place we wanted to visit. It was our second trip to the area and definitely the best. It is self catering option but there is plenty opportunities to dine outside so unless you are picky there is always somewhere to eat if local cuisine is your thing. Lots of hiking trails, even for families with kids, starting with Inveraray and ending with adventurous climb on top of the Creagan an Eich.
Hosts are very welcoming and helpful, gave us great overview of what is in the area, even places we would never thought visiting. Cottage is neat and tidy, hidden well from the road so you don't even notice anything at all. Stone throw away distance from the Loch is perfect opportunity to walk to the Inn along the shore - you never know what you can find.
I fully recommend this place.

Springburn

August 2021
A lovely, pretty little cottage in a great location and only 100 metres or so from the loch, where we swam twice a day. Benefits from having the owner next door, who was helpful and friendly throughout. Smelt of damp a bit in the lounge and there is not a lot of amenities close by, with the best beaches and walks half an hour drive, though there is a great pub close. All in all, well worth the money and I would go back.

Great Cottage in a Fantastic Location

June 2021
We had a great week's stay at Springburn. Val was very welcoming when we arrived with suggestions of places to eat and visit. All of which we did and she was spot on with the recommendations. The cottage is really cosy, comfortable and very well equipped. The loch side is just over the road and it was nice to sit there in the evenings after dinner to watch the sun go down over the mountains. I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here. Thanks Val for a great week and see you soon.
