NEWLY FOR AUTUMN 2024 - Crossaig Farm House is a beautiful traditional country house, set on the east side of the Kintyre Peninsula, West Coast Scotland, with magical sea views looking out over the Kilbrannan Sound to Arran. A wonderful base to explore Argyll and the Isles or to just relax, unwind and enjoy this stunning setting.
This lovingly restored five bedroom farm house combines modern stylish living with country charm for up to ten guests. Here you’ll find a memorable place to celebrate your special occasion or enjoy time with family and friends.
Interiors
Beautifully appointed the interiors offer a perfect balance between contemporary style and traditional country comforts, filled with local Scottish artwork.
The ground floor features a variety of living rooms and spaces to enjoy. With two spacious sea facing sitting rooms, filled with colour and stylish interiors. For the quieter afternoons or cosy nights in both of the sitting rooms feature wood burning log fires. Starter basket of logs kindler and firelighters, seasonal only from September to June. (Please request for July - August).
Featuring an open plan kitchen and dining table for breakfasts or get-togethers throughout the day. This fully equipped kitchen features all your modern appliances to make cooking a joy. The adjoining dining and living area with panoramic window views makes for easy entertaining for up to ten guests.
At the rear entrance door there is a utility room for muddy boots and coats.

Featuring a double bedroom on the ground floor with a shared family bathroom with walk-in shower. Perfect for anyone with accessibility issues.
Upstairs feature four beautifully appointed bedrooms - three spacious king-size bedrooms and a twin bedroom, all with quality furnishings and bed linen. A travel cot, high chair and stair gate are available.
The upstairs family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. There is a second bathroom located on this floor with a walk-in shower.

Just a short walk away is the private beach area and surrounding paths to explore while you can enjoy spectacular views across Kilbrannan Sound to Arran. The woodlands is a haven for wildlife, so look out for deer, red and black grouse and many birds of prey.
The property is next to the owners privately owned working farm and country estate.

The sheltered east coast of Kintyre, has fabulous views over to Arran. Places of interest include the heritage centre, the tannery which produces a range of sheepskin products and the 12th century Saddell Abbey in the quaint fishing village of Carradale and the extensive ruins of the 13th century Skipness Castle near the village of Skipness.

From the Tarbert harbour you can catch one of the regular car ferry crossings to Portavadie and explore the Cowal Peninsula. The beautiful islands of Arran, Islay, Gigha and Jura are easily accessible from nearby ferry ports. Head south for the Mull of Kintyre with white sandy beaches and magnificent golf courses, or north to Kilmartin Glen steeped in history and archaeological sites. The Campbeltown Distilleries, and Inveraray Jail and Castle also make for great days out. It's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland.

CROSSAIG
Crossaig ia an area of great natural scenic beauty on the eastern side of the Kintyre peninsula with superb views eastward over the Kilbrannan Sound to the Isle of Arran and north to the Isle of Bute and the distant Ayrshire coastline. The property lies on the single track B842 which runs from the village of Skipness, 7 miles to the north, all the way to Southend on the Mull of Kintyre. This scenic single track road takes you to Carradale, and Campbeltown.
Approximately 4 miles north of Crossaig, the B8001 runs westward from its junction with the B842 at Claonaig, where the ferry crosses to the Isle of Arran. At it's western end the B8001 connects to the A83 at Kennacraig, the terminal for the ferries to Islay, Jura and Colonsay. This also takes you to Tarbert.
Kilbrannan Sound (Scottish Gaelic: An Caolas Branndanach) is a marine water body in the west of Scotland. It separates the Kintyre Peninsula from the island of Arran. Kilbrannan Sound is the western arm of the lower Firth of Clyde.
TARBERT
Tarbert on Loch Fyne is a picturesque fishing village known as the gateway to the beautiful peninsula of Kintyre. Backed by rugged hills and fronting on to an attractive natural harbour. It is built around East Loch Tarbert, an inlet of Loch Fyne, and extends over the isthmus which links the peninsula of Kintyre to Knapdale and West Loch Tarbert.
