The whole area is steeped in Highland history and dotted with ruins, castles and ancient sites.

Around 80 miles from Glasgow by road, a perfect tranquil holiday spot for sailors, tourists and fishermen alike. Known as one of the most scenic drives in Scotland, a drive along the narrow roads chisled out the hill side offers some of the best great views of the Bute, Arran and the Ayrshire coasts and the hills.

DIRECTIONS
Getting here by road from Glasgow this fabulous drive takes you up the side of Loch Lomond, through the Arrochar Alps and over the world-famous Rest and Be Thankful. The final stretch winds along the coast with the Kyles of Bute stretching out ahead. There are some wonderful viewpoints dotted along this road.  Take the A82 along Loch Lomond to Tarbet, then the A83 towards Inveraray and Campbeltown.
