Culzean House is an outstanding country property located in the picturesque village of Ardentinny in the Cowal Peninsula, gateway to the Scottish Highlands. The beautifully appointed holiday house radiates luxury, elegance and charm. Boasting homely comforts to create a stylish and luxury holiday, perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.

Inside
Beautifully restored and designed to a high standard Culzean House is warm and welcoming at any time of the year. The inviting living room is filled with comfortable lounges for cosy winter evenings, "a home from home" where family and friends can relax and enjoy this special place. The adjacent formal dining room is perfect for an evening of celebrations.  

The generous fully-equipped kitchen is complete with all the modern appliances, a superb space for cooking up a feast. In-house catering can be arranged prior to arrival. There is a separate utility room with washer and dryer for guest’s convenience.

Bedrooms
Seven spacious bedrooms are spread over three levels and each boast individually-styled interiors and lovely views out over the gardens and hills beyond. The ground floor features a twin bedroom with an ensuite shower room. The second level has two elegantly designed double bedrooms both ensuite, a further double bedroom and a children’s bunk room. This floor also features a designer bathroom, complete with a bath/shower. The top level has two spacious double bedrooms, both beautifully furnished with stunning views. The house is suitable for 14 guests. For children cots can be arranged and stair gates for safety.

Outside
Culzean House has a magnificent secluded garden, beautifully manicured with a large area of decking where you can relax in your own private hot tub and Finnish sauna. The views from the south-facing decking area are spectacular, giving stunning uninterrupted views of the glorious Argyll Forest Park beyond.

The large enclosed gardens have pathways and outdoor seating to soak up the breathtaking views. A wonderful area for children to play and explore.

Explore
Culzean House is conveniently situated at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands and within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. A perfect base to explore.

The surrounding area offers picturesque scenery, forest walks, beach walks and activities such as quad biking, horse riding, river and sea fishing.

Dogs Welcome: Your well beahaved dog is allowed, maximum two only. £25 applies per dog per stay.

ARDENTINNY

Ardentinny is a small village on the west shore of Loch Long, 14 miles (23 km) north of Dunoon on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scottish Highlands. 

There are a number of walking trails in Ardentinny that will lead you up the shoreline and through the adjacent woods. Explore the stunning woodland on routes once the preserve of Ardentinny’s foresters, who nurtured seedlings here. A walk along a 7 mile path (11km) path will lead you to Carrick Castle. Just south of the car park, you can stop off at Glenfinart Walled Garden, a community garden that was formerly the produce garden of Glenfinart House.

 

DIRECTIONS

Approximately 1.5 hours travelling distance from both Glasgow and Prestwick International Airports.

From the South, exit the M74 at junction 4. Follow signs for Glasgow Centre (M8). Continue on the M8 to Greenock and follow signs to Gourock (27 miles from Glasgow). Dunoon is served by 2 ferry links - take either Western Ferries or Argyll Ferries at Gourock for a 20 minute crossing. Culzean House is 14 miles north of Dunoon on the A880. Discounted tickets (up to 50% of on board fare) for Western Ferries - usually only for Cowal residents - can be purchased at Paul's Food & Wine shop, 94 Shore Street, Gourock, PA19 1RB. Alternatively take the scenic route via Loch Lomond following the A82 to A83, then A815 for Dunoon and turn left at the sign for Ardentinny on the A880. Culzean House is 1 mile north of Ardentinny.
