Family Stay

5/5 Upfront Reviews - October 2022

We had such a lovely stay at bay cottage, we are a family of 4 and the space was perfect for us.
The cottage was clean and clearly well looked after!
Our girls 4 & 1 absolutely loved the bath & our 4 year old totally obsessed with the bunk beds!
And the fairy lit path up from the car was super cute in the dark!
Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Dog friendly in Dunoon
4.7/5 Upfront Reviews June 2022
A comfortable, quiet and clean cottage with great dog friendly garden. Great shower, comfy bed, nice kitchen diner. Car parking ok - had to park up the kerb and walk short distance to cottage. Nice walk into town along the prom.

Good cottage, good service and we would definitely recommend

Sept 2021
This well equipped cottage provided a good base for exploring Argyll and Bute. The cottage is prettily decorated. TV, WiFi and kitchen equipment worked well and were easy to use.

The lounge furniture was comfortable. Bedroom had good amount of storage for clothes and comfort wise the bed was fine for a week.

The cottage is dog friendly with an enclosed garden. There are dogs living next door who enjoyed welcoming us back to the cottage. Not unreasonably the dog cannot be left unsupervised at the property or allowed on the furniture. You will need to bring dog bowls etc. I have marked cleanliness down slightly but only as there was an initial smell of dog that faded after a day or so. The cottage is accessed by a path from the road which is slightly uneven. The path is lit after dark but we found a torch useful. The road is narrow but parking was not an issue, sometimes we used the free car park a short walk away.

The cottage was stocked with towels and consumables.

Excellent service from agent and owner in resolving a query early in our stay. The cottage was as described.

Bay Cottage, Dunoon

Sept 2021
A very well appointed holiday bungalow located in a beautiful area. Dog friendly garden. Everything you need for a great holiday.

Great location

Aug 2021
Stayed for one week in August with wife and 7yr old. Property was very quiet, clean and had everything we needed (including free wi-fi for Netflix and Prime). Private garden was enjoyed by our son for football and there was a playing area within 5 mins walk. About a mile walk into town (along promenade or road). Local Morrisons for shopping 5 mins drive.
Ate in most nights as the cottage had everything we needed to prepare and cook etc. Shower was nice and powerful and the spa bath a nice touch. We went to Blenmore Park, Pucks Glen, Ardentinny Beach and Ardkinglas Gardens all within 45 mins drive.

Lovely cottage

June 2021
We had a great stay at Bay Cottage. It had everything we needed and was immaculate. Great location and a very secure garden for children and pets.

Cosy cottage

May 2021
Lovely cottage, extremely well furnished, warm and comfortable in a quiet location close to the Dunoon sea front. Excellent location for the Argyll Forest and Cowal Peninsula and with a pretty reservoir and woods within walking from the cottage.

Review Bay Cottage

5/5 Star VRBO Review - Sep 2020
The cottage was very clean & tidy throughout with everything needed to provide a lovely holiday, including an incredible bathroom with spa bath & overhead rain shower. Owner was on hand whenever needed which was excellent service. Would love to return.

Wonderful stay at Bay Cottage.

10/10 Booking.com Review - 14 Sep 2020

The Cottage was so clean and soft furnishings had been given so much thought. Lovely enclosed garden for pets and children. Everything is in the cottage that you would need to make your stay just Perfect. Would definitely be back and would recommend to anyone. You would have no regrets booking and staying here. Recommendation for a lovely bar restaurant THE LORNE BAR AND KITCHEN in the town. If you have a dog there is only one table that accommodates dogs so you will need to book for this table but well worth it.
Everything was perfect.
