Many of our Scottish cottages have fabulous gardens to enjoy, one of them is Barr Cottage set in picturesque Minard in the Heart of Argyll.

Fancy a picnic and a game of Croquet on a summers day. Don't forget the champers! Then finish your day with an alfresco style barbeque on the patio while watching the Red Squirrels play.  

To the front of the cottage is the patio and barbeque area with a raised-bed kitchen herb garden for the cooks amongst you. The cottage garden is mostly lawn with access to a larger lawn area for more badminton, and other ball sports whilst enjoying that icnic.  Barr Cottage also boasts a wonderful array of garden and woodland birds, occassionly visited by red squirrels and pine martins and there are buzzards, eagles, otters and deer in the forests and lochans around the farm.

Barr Cottage has two spacious bedrooms, a double and twin, a family bathroom including a double ended bath with rain shower over, a large dining kitchen with newly fitted units including a built in oven, microwave, fridge freezer and a separate ceramic hob. There is a dishwasher and washing machine to help with those essential chores.

The large open-plan kitchen/dining area is perfect for entertaining and has views over the cottage garden and hills beyond, with a window seat for bird and wildlife spotting. 

The cosy sitting room has a wood-burning stove for relaxing evenings in the glow of a real fire. There is a flat screen TV/DVD in the sitting room. The sitting room has views across the farm, down the Loch and of the patio and garden. Barr Cottage is fully centrally heated with hot water on demand. It has double-glazed sash windows and is well insulated, keeping it snug in the winter and cool in the summer.
