Sandbank is a village on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, West of Scotland, 2.5 miles north of Dunoon on the coastal A815 or the inland A885. It sits on the southern shore of the Holy Loch, branching off the Firth of Clyde. Just minutes from Dunoon, here is an ideal base to explore the West Coast of Scotland.
DIRECTIONS
You can travel by Citylink Bus or by train from Glasgow to the ferry terminals at Gourock. Calmac and Western Ferries both serve the Dunoon area and both ferry operators have passenger facilities.
By car follow the M8 from Glasgow to Gourock where you can catch the Western Ferries Ferry to Dunoon. You can also drive via the A82, a very picturesque route past Loch Lomond and through the Argyll countryside. See the AA web site for a route planner.

Thanks for a great stay!!
Lovely bungalow in a beautiful location!
4.3/5 Upfront Reviews - August 2023
We have just returned from a lovely weeks stay at Brookfield in the most beautiful Dunoon. The bungalow is located in a very quiet part of Dunoon called Sandbank. The bungalow itself was very comfortable and there is ample space for 8 adults and a huge enclosed back garden for dogs. We used the bungalow as a base and travelled out each day to view the local area and the stunning scenery. There are lots of shops in the town to stock up the essentials for your stay and we would highly recommend the 'Lorne' pub in Dunoon for meals. It has an outside covered area which was brilliant for us with having the dog. We lovely thoroughly enjoyed are stay and would recommend the bungalow to anyone visiting the area.
