Peaceful stay
July 2021
Booking the cottage was straight forward and the directions easily followed.
The cottage was clean and had all the amenities we required.
The entrance to the cottage is extremely narrow for any family sized car. Widening/improving this access would make a great difference when coming and going from the property.
We really enjoyed our stay, it was ideal for our dogs as they had freedom and safety.
We would definitely recommend Tighnaheaglais Cottage to our friends and family

As soon as we walked in, all of life’s stressed sloughed off at the door. The beauty, the coziness, the tranquility crept into our veins and life became perfect. Looking out the twin bedroom window at first light, you see the Scottish flag bellowing in the breeze, welcoming you. The view from the back bedroom shows you the ewes and lambs playing in the morning light, their baying a singsong welcome as well, the view from the front bedroom and the cozy living room is the ancient Kilfinan church and the resting place of ancestors of long ago, even this site welcomes you to the past, a peaceful reminder you are in a part of historic Scotland. The gardens are quiet and well groomed. The kitchen is very nicely equipped with modern conveniences. The temperature in the house was cozy and inviting. So inviting that our party has already booked it for two weeks next year!
Quite get away

This very nice cottage is a great get away spot nestled in the Hills of Kilfinan Scotland , great for a small group or family , we were there for a clan gathering , all the comforts you will need for a stress free time , if your wanting to get away from the outside world , there is no internet and no phone reception , if from the USA you will need plug converters for UK plugs , the people in the area are warm and welcoming , will stay again and again.
Very comfortable stay
5 star Upfront Review August 2017
We had a fantastic stay at Tighnaheaglais Cottage, from the moment we checked in we felt at home. The host had thoughtfully left some little things that would be helpful for us during our stay, the beds were very comfortable, and the entire house cleaned to a high standard. It's very remote, lacking in any cellphone reception or WiFi, but both of these can be found just across the road at the hotel. Definitely check it out if you want to stay in Kilfinan or explore the Cowal Peninsula!
