KAMES
Kames is a small coastal village on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, on the shore of the west arm of the Kyles of Bute. Approximately 80 miles from Glasgow by road, a perfect tranquil holiday spot. Known as one of the most scenic drives in Scotland, a drive along the narrow roads chisled out the hill side offers some of the best views of the Bute, Arran and the Ayrshire coasts and the hills.
Lovely accommodation.
5/5 Upfront Reviews - May 2022
Idyllic and peaceful location and well appointed apartment, spotlessly clean. Minor comment: would be even better if there were a few more oven dishes for cooking food in.
Impeccable holiday home. Delightful panoramic views. Great place to recover from stress.
5/5 Upfront Reviews April 2022From the moment of our arrival we were thrilled by Bute View. At a very stressful time in our lives it was the perfect 8 day retreat.
In some ways, over-equipped, we were surprised by two omissions, a hairdryer (essential) and a bedroom mirror. But we coped (a visitor brought the hairdryer).A wonderful place to stay. Our best ferry trips were to Tarbert as pedestrians and Rothesay, Mount Stuart by car. Loved it all.
Lovely property and sea views
Sept 2021
The lovely well located apartment has the most breathtaking view of Bute! It was newly renovated, bright clean and well appointed. It's located right near the Kames Hotel and Market which both made it an easy location to stay. I wandered along to Tighnabruaich to the most amazing coffee and conversation at Five West...don't miss it. The highlight of our stay was a breakfast on the terrace.
Excellent location and condition

The ground floor apartment of the charming stone cottage is beautifully presented and affords a lovely view towards Bute.
Lily was an excellent host. Location is ideal for exploring "Argyll's Secret Coast" and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
