Rosscairn is a Victorian Villa located in the coastal town of Dunoon, gateway to the Scottish Highlands. Built in the 1880’s during the Victorian holiday boom the villa reflects traditional warmth and charm. Transformed today into an exclusive self-catering holiday house, Rosscairn Villa offers true Scottish hospitality.

The villa will currently allow up to 6 guests using three bedrooms of the villa. Rooms will be allocated at time of booking.

Rosscairn Villa has been beautifully decorated retaining many of the original features throughout enhancing the Victorian interiors with a traditional Scottish Highland feel. The ground floor features the spacious main living areas, an inviting sitting room filled with leather couches and antique furnishings, a welcoming drawing room, and a television room, all designed for entertaining in comfort and style.

The spacious dining room is a magnificent setting for celebration meals, featuring picture windows overlooking the garden and golf course. Here you will view the regular visitors from local wildlife such as roe deer and Red squirrel to name a few. 

The new modern kitchen has been designed with large groups in mind, consisting of all your modern appliances. Every thought has been given to the guests’ convenience and is perfect for catering for larger parties with extra appliances, fridges and freezers.

The bedrooms offer a boutique experience and are located on the upper levels, sleeping up to 6 guests.

First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With double bed, en-suite.
Bedroom 2: With double bed, single bed, en-suite.
Bedroom 3: With two single beds, en-suite or please request if you require a double

Guests have full use of the outdoor terrace and the large garden space to enjoy. The villa has drying room facilities, large storage facilities and parking facilities.
Dog & child friendly. Max 3 dogs @ £4 per dog per night.

The Cowal Peninsula is a spectacular location to explore with the Argyll Forest Park on your doorstep and Loch Lomond National Park just a short drive away. Ideal for walkers and cyclists of all abilities, and boasts a magnificent diversity of scenery with dramatic peaks, waterfalls and hidden caves. The whole area is steeped in history and dotted with ruins, castles and ancient sites. There are many good restaurants and local pubs within easy driving distance where you can sample the regions wonderful produce.

Dogs Welcome: Pet friendly £4 per pet per night, maximum four (4).

Dunoon is the main town on the Cowal Peninsula in the south of Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is on the western shore of the upper Firth of Clyde, to the south of the Holy Loch.

You can travel by Citylink Bus or by train from Glasgow to the ferry terminals at Gourock. Calmac and Western Ferries both serve the Dunoon area and both ferry operators have passenger facilities.
By car

Follow the M8 from Glasgow to Gourock where you can catch the Western Ferries Ferry to Dunoon. You can also drive via the A82, a very picturesque route past Loch Lomond and through the Argyll countryside. See the AA web site for a route planner.
