RASHFIELD
Rashfield is a picturesque hamlet on the Cowal peninsula, situated between Loch Eck and the head of Holy Loch, in Argyll and Bute, West of Scotland. The hamlet is on the A815 road and the River Eachaig flows pass from Loch Eck to the Holy Loch. Rashfield is within the Argyll Forest Park which is itself within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Dunoon is 5.5 miles from Rashfield.

DIRECTIONS
After crossing on the ferry turn right from the ferry terminal and follow the road until you come to a T junction at Sandbank.
Turn right and continue on this road (A815 signposted for Glasgow).
After passing the Cot House Service Station look out for the Puck's Glen car park.
Slow right down here as the entrance to Lamont Lodges comes up immediately on the right. Ard Darach lodge, Nr7, is situated in the top left hand corner. When you enter the park turn left and follow the road up as far as it can go. There is a car turning spot and the lodge is to the right with the number 7 beside the entrance. Your parking space is at the front of the lodge, not in the turning spot.

A wonderful place to stay.
5/5 Upfront Reviews - July 2023
Ard Darach is a fantastic holiday lodge, the owners are great to deal with and our stay was perfect.
The huge living room window gave us hours of fun watching the birds and Red Squirrels feed and play all day.
The lodge is well laid out, comfortable and spotless. It feels more like a home than a holiday let.
The site is quiet, feels secluded, but is a quick drive to the shops. We will go back, for sure. Our dog loved the stay as well.

Fantastic cabin which is well situated for a break away from it all. The log fire was amazing and made for a very cozy stay indeed!

Wonderful lodge in a brilliant location!

Oct 2021
Ard Darach is a lovely lodge with the best location on the site! It is a very well appointed lodge and comfortably sleeps 6 adults. I found lodges of this size are difficult to find. It is easy to heat, a log burner and ample supply of logs and kindling provides additional heating if needed.
It is very relaxing to watch birds and red squirrels who provide endless entertainment from the large living room windows. The owner fills their feeders on a daily basis. There are lots of lovely walks nearby and some excellent restaurants.
Our family of 2 adults, 2 teenage boys, 2 grannies and a dog had a wonderful time! I recommend it highly.

Fantastic
